PRE-REGISTRATION FOR “CLASSIC” RACING, BIKE SHOW, ETC. IS MONDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH AT MIDNIGHT!. YOU CAN STILL SIGN UP ON SITE SEPTEMBER 9TH FROM 9AM TO 3PM.
PRE-REGISTRATION FOR “MODERN” RACING IS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH AT MIDNIGHT!

RACING REGISTRATION

All Classic/Vintage and Modern racing registration is open now. Lots of fun classes for the "old iron" and your new bike. If you don’t have a vintage bike, please come race your modern bike on an old track to experience how we old guys and gals did it. BRING FRIENDS TO TRY! USA BMX IS OFFERING MODERN, POINTS RACES ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

ALL Classic and Modern (USA BMX Double Points) classes for Saturday are $40 per class for “Pre-Registration” (before Sep 5th for Classic and Sep 7th for Modern) $50 on Friday, Sep 9th. Sunday is a single points USA BMX race and entries at $25 per-registration and $35 onsite Sep 9th.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For “Classic Racing”. We will be running Motos 1 and 2 on Saturday and Moto 3 and all semis and mains on Sunday. We want everyone to enjoy our great hosts in the Angels Camp community.

IMPORTANT NOTE #2: All "Modern Racing" will be the USA BMX 2-moto transfer system . Please pay attention as the Classic motos will be placed in between Modern motos. This is for both Saturday and Sunday. Again, "Classic Racing" will be 3-moto total points system.

ALSO: Modern Racing will have (2) days of separate racing Saturday and Sunday! You will be directed to regular USA BMX registration system with buttons below.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!: Classic and Modern racing registration will be available on Friday, Sep 9th from 9:00-3pm at the track. THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON SATURDAY SEP 10, 2022 FOR ANY CLASSES! Your Classic bike will be inspected to make sure it’s in correct class.

NOTES:

  • You will need to sign up for “Classic” and “Modern Racing” separately as “Modern” registration is done with familiar USA BMX systems.
  • We will be running the 3-moto system and not the transfer system for more fun on the old track.
  • The concept of the event is for people to enjoy the historic BMX experience in the historic town of Angels Camp, supporting the community who has graciously “re-accepted BMX” after 40 years. So, only (2) Classic motos will be run on Saturday and the 3rd moto and mains will be run on Sunday. There is overnight camping available and hotels in surrounding areas.
  • All modern bikes (Classic too…goes without saying but we said it)  will have to have flat pedals – This is a no clip racing experience!

NOTE: There will be “Full-Kit” Awards for 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s for those who race with period appropriate gear. Sort of a cross between the bike show and racing. Judges will be in staging and at the gate. 1st place only per decade period.

  • 20” 1985-1989

THERE WILL BE “ERA INSPECTION”
ALL Classic bikes will be “Era/Tech Inspected” to receive special sticker to get on the gate. Friday morning and on race days! In the spirit of fairness and the event, inspectors are looking at era correct frame, fork, bars, etc. For example: We don’t want some one trying to run a 1990 GT Pro Series as a 1979 GT. We also don’t want to see a 1975 Mongoose with alloy wheels and redline flight cranks. They will not care about tires, chains, etc. It’s all about fun people! Just don’t be THAT GUY.

Classic Classes – The classes will be divided up first by “Era” and then by (2) age groups 14 & Under and 15 & Over depending on having enough to make a class. Remember it’s suppose to be fun and about getting to ride on that 40-year-old track so a 13 year-old may be racing a 50 year-old. All good!

NOTE: There will be “Full-Kit” Awards for 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s for those who race with period appropriate gear. Sort of a cross between the bike show and racing. Judges will be in staging and at the gate. 1st place only per decade period.
