3rd Annual
California
Cup
Grand Prix
Join us for racing for big trophies and another title on your racing resume — the 2026 California Cup Grand Prix #1!
Because of the wildfires cancelling the 2025 finals at Angels Camp, we had a great finals for those huge trophies at Airtime BMX in Reedley, CA. But for 2026, ride your modern bike on a historical, 50-year-old, downhill track complete with fast pedaling straights, rough berms, flat turns and other surprises.

A 1970s Series
Reborn for Today.
In the late 1970s, just when BMX was beginning to explode, there were two memorable BMX series in California. The California Cup was a statewide series created by Steve Rink involving many tracks and to win was a big deal.
The Centurion Grand Prix was a 3-day series on Memorial Day weekend in 1977 at tracks in Roseville, Auburn and Grass Valley that was also prestigious and memorable.
With the creation of the old-school Frogtown Classic International BMX Days, we thought these two iconic series names in BMX history could be put together for a modern BMX series involving other tracks to honor the past while bringing in the next generation. Riders on their modern bikes (with flat pedals only) will get to race — most for the first time — on an old-school, downhill, dirt track, with a manual gate for glory and the many smiles to be produced.
BMX Legends Eddie King and Brian Patterson (at 11 years old) raced for the win at the 1976 California Cup in Corona, CA.
